I'm a geek who is interested in current consumer technology, mostly AV/TV, smartphones and PC software/hardware. Besides that, I'm also working on improving my social skill.
That's why, when I was studying Computer Science and IT study programme at the Technical University of Ostrava, I got an internship there at the International Relationship Office. There I helped international students with formalities of staying abroad, accompanied them to immigration office, insurance company, doctor's office etc. I also helped in the event organisation and my IT knowledge also proofed useful when I was proposing and setting up services for their needs (e.g., form filling) or preparing a laptop specification for tender. Facebook page managment was also included.
After defending my thesis, which included creating a Kotlin app for Android, I went volunteering for a year through European Solidarity Corps, which was new experience where I could get better in my soft skills. And as this happened in Gdańsk, it was an opportunity to learn Polish language. When the project was finished, the possibility of combining my IT skills with my maternal language seemed intriguing and that's why I joined Lionbridge for the position of Localisation Quality Assurance Tester. I'm looking forward for the new experiences to come.
